I've Resigned.

Well, my run in politics was short lived. HA! I've never been one to engage in political debates and I have decided that's best. While I have very strong opinions on things, the stress of debating back and forth, the emotion etc. is not worth it. Especially not now.

I have the shingles virus and noticed an outbreak starting to occur recently. That's a tell-tell sign that I am stressed to the MAX. Between guns and mental health and the news that I can't carry my own daughter out of the hospital (ridiculous), all of that mixed in with my work and family...it's just too much. So I'm officially resigning my position.

If they come for my gun, I'll shoot them. If they drop my daughter, I'll sue them.

Moments of Silence.

In light of the Connecticut tragedy I am left at a bit of a loss as to where to take this post. I had several ideas over the weekend, but all of them have left me or seem pointless.

We can go around in circles arguing over gun control, mental health awareness, and so forth and so on. But the bottom line is this, 27 innocent people died last week. And yes, we need to do SOMETHING. But for now, I think we need to grieve. Without pointing fingers, without judgement or political agendas. We need to let time pass, let wounds begin to heal (which some will never), and we as a nation need to simply say, "We're here. And we're so sorry."
